Hello!  Every few months we like to reach out with important developments here at the Marion Animal Hospital.  In this newsletter we’re hoping to update you on some important staffing changes, inform you of a closure period around Thanksgiving, and review a change in our Covid protocols allowing a single client per appointment into the building if currently vaccinated.

A Fond Farewell for Dr. Seideman!

This November we have the bittersweet announcement that our Dr. Todd Seideman will be moving on to pursue a lifelong dream and follow his passions.  We know many of our clients had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Seideman and experience his wonderful care with their pets, and so it is with heavy hearts that we wish him the best on his new endeavors.  We will continue to provide the best care possible for your pets through the services of Dr. Rachel Francis, Dr. Katherine Crowley, Dr. Cindy Schaefer, and now also with Dr. Laura Hussey who is assisting us with some relief work.

Welcome, Dr. Laura Hussey, BVetMed, MRCVS!

Starting this past month it has been our pleasure to work alongside Dr. Laura Hussey, a graduate of the Royal Veterinary College in London, England, and who has been assisting us with some relief work.  Dr. Hussey brings with her a broad range of experience in patient care, including diabetic management, dermatologic conditions, neoplastic mass diagnosis, and more!  She is a thorough practitioner with an outgoing and charming dog-bedside manner, and we are so pleased to have her working with us this season!

A Fond Farewell for Nikki!

After being with the Marion Animal Hospital for over 12 years, Nikki has moved down to the Sunshine state. Although we are happy for her, she will be missed by us all. She was a core person within our practice. We wish her nothing but the best!

Thanksgiving Closure 11/24 – 11/26

Our office will be closed for a duration in November from Wednesday the 24th through Friday the 26th, opening again on Monday 29th.  Please take stock of any medication or diet supplies for your pet that we might fill and dispense them prior to this closure period.

Covid Protocols Update

As we head into the end of the year we will continue to have clients in the building on a limited basis for appointments.  If you are current on your covid vaccination, have not had any recent covid symptoms or exposure to a positive covid case, and appropriately wear an acceptable face mask at all times, then we can accommodate one client per appointment in the building.

At this time we are still keeping the lobby closed to the public, and placing any items for pickup outside our front door in our Pick-Up Bin.  Please see our website and Facebook page for any important changes.  We thank you or your continued patience and cooperation as we strive to stay safe and active while serving your pet’s needs.  Thank you!
